DARA JON TAHERI, ESQ.

Dara Jon Taheri, Esq. is an attorney licensed and authorized to practice law in the states of California, Texas, and Washington, and Washington, D.C. He successfully passed in a row three distinctly formatted state bar exams without pursuing a bar review. This is a testament to his strong discipline and structured approach to the study of law. Further, he is eligible for admission in AL, AZ, CO, ID, MN, MO, MT, NE, NH, ND, UT, and WY, based on his Uniform Bar Exam (UBE) score and MN based on his Multistate Bar Exam (MBE) score.

He is also licensed and authorized to practice law in the U.S. federal courts of California Central District Court, Texas Southern District/Bankruptcy Court, Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Dr. Taheri was appointed advocacy judge for the American Bar Association’s national appellate advocacy competitions and other national mock trial and advocacy competitions.

Dr. Taheri practices law in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, entertainment, and international litigation, anti-trust, finance, securities and investment fraud, and white-collar criminal defense.

Dr. Taheri received a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas; and a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, California.

He has a natural aptitude for math with an analytical mindset which was further enhanced through his finance studies at Southern Methodist University. Dr. Taheri has utilized these skills in his practice as well as a financial analyst and independent investor through the study of market trends and stocks in a wide range of industries in the United States and abroad.

Dr. Taheri’s foundation in entertainment law was established at Southwestern Law School where his studies included, but were not limited to, intellectual property licenses and practices, contracts, publishing, music, motion pictures, sports, visual arts, and museums. He excels at drafting intellectual property licenses, possesses a vast knowledge of contracts, and the nomenclature involved in the different areas of the entertainment industry. With a background in music, photography, and creative design, he has a keen observation from the artist’s perspective.

Dr. Taheri is a member of the state of California Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, state of Washington Bar Association, and Washington D.C., Bar Association.
